The airline restarted operations between London Luton and Tel Aviv on Thursday (28.05.26), after pausing the route at the end of February amid escalating tensions involving Iran.
It has also announced plans to bring back its Gatwick to Tel Aviv connection from September 1, with five weekly services scheduled and bookings already open to passengers.
Despite the relaunch, the UK Foreign Office continues to advise against travel to Israel.
According to Wizz Air, the decision to resume flights followed revised recommendations issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, alongside ongoing consultations with security specialists and aviation authorities.
The company said flight schedules will remain under review and could change depending on developments in the region.
Ian Malin, Wizz Airās Chief Commercial Officer, said the carrier had taken a ācareful and responsibleā approach before restoring the routes.
He said: āThe safety and security of our passengers and crew remain our top priority, and we have taken a cautious and measured approach to this decision.ā
Malin added that the airline was eager to reconnect Israel with destinations across Europe and welcome travellers back to the country
He continued: āWe look forward to reconnecting with our Israeli passengers and allowing our millions of customers across Europe to experience the amazing culture Israel has to offer.ā
