Suitcase weighs itself

A New York-based company have created a suitcase that weights itself.

Raden have released a range of luggage items that allow their users to weigh the bag, locate it if it goes missing and charge their electronic devices with it.

The bag is "made with a strong durable polycarbonate shell" and is an impressively low weight for its size.

A description about the piece of luggage reads: "Pairing form and function with the latest in digital technology, the Raden A luggage series elevates your travel experience. Lightweight, durable and flexible, the minimalist polycarbonate design of the A22 Carry and the A28 Check allows you to pack more and waste less space, while reversed linings, waterproof zippers and an integrated TSA lock keeps your items secure.

"An advanced, integrated electronics module and power bank sets the Raden A series apart, allowing you to charge multiple devices on the go and link your case with your phone via the Raden app. Intelligent and intuitive, the app makes tracking your case and keeping tabs on weight and battery life as simple as tapping the screen."

The suitcase includes a 7800mAh integrated power bank, which has two external USB ports and provides phones with up to four times a full phone charges.

The electronics module, which must be paired to the Raden mobile app to work, will allow someone to locate their case whilst also monitoring its weight and battery life

A travel accessories pouch also comes with the purchase, which includes an eye mask, 40" USB charger cable and ear plugs.

The company have also created a hand baggage variety, which comes in a range of colours. Prices start at £241.30 for the smaller bag and £323.09 for the check in range.
