Derek Chisora promises to take Joseph Parker to the 'deep end'

Derek Chisora has vowed to take Joseph Parker to the "deep end" in their fight.

The heavyweight fighters are due to clash next month and Chisora has vowed to breathe new life into his career by winning the clash.

Chisora said: "I’m gonna take him to the deep end. We’re gonna fight. I’m gonna bring the war. I’m gonna bring war and pain. That’s it."

Parker recently defeated countryman Junior Fa on home soil in New Zealand but Chisora is determined to inflict a third career loss on the former world champion.

He told Sky Sports: "We’re gonna make it three [losses for Parker]. Yeah, we’re gonna go for it. He’s got fast hands. He’s got fast hands, but I’ve got a new trainer coming in this week, so we’re excited about that."

Chisora, 37, insists that he still feels "great" as he enters the twilight years of his career in the ring.

He said: "I feel great, man. I feel nice. I’m 37, but it’s nothing but a number, age. So, I’m just happy right now."

Parker has been preparing for the fight by appointing a new trainer in the form of Andy Lee after a recommendation from Tyson Fury.

He explained: "I called Tyson and said: 'I'm looking for a trainer.'

"He said Andy would be perfect. Five days later I was on a plane flying to Ireland. Everything happened fast."
