Frazer Clarke is not ready to fight for world titles yet

Frazer Clarke thinks he needs to develop more as a fighter before challenging for the world title.

The British heavyweight fought in an enthralling draw with Fabio Wardley last weekend but believes that he has work to do to reach the level of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua and compete for global belts.

Clarke told talkSPORT: "Talking about Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, you are talking about the top two or three in the heavyweight premier league there.

"I think we need to look a little bit below, I think there is a few levels we have to go through first.

"I'm sure with that fight we will have both improved and learned a lot, and put us a little bit closer to the names everyone wants to see us fight."

However, Clarke is determined to compete against Wardley in a rematch as he wasn't satisfied with the contest being declared as a draw.

The Olympic bronze medalist said: "But first we need to decide who is the best between me and Fabio, so we need to get it back on.

"I don't like draws in boxing, I wasn't happy with the draw definitely, he looked a little bit happier with the draw, but we need to run it back."

Clarke felt that he had done enough in the ring to get a decision in his favour but won't be critical of the fight's officials.

He said: "I thought I'd won the fight, I knew he'd come back into it at times with a few good moments.

"But I was convinced I'd won the fight but that's not my job, the rest is up to the judges and referees.

"And I definitely believe in respect for the judges and officials so I'm not going to sit here and slander anyone, it's a draw and it is what it is."
