Ella Toone grateful there's no dressing room 'bickering'

Ella Toone feels lucky there's not a lot of "bickering and arguing" in the Manchester United dressing room.

The 24-year-old midfielder is thankful the club has a lot of camaraderie and a "family" atmosphere because she knows it is unusual for everyone to get along with each other all the time.

Speaking to Olivia Attwood on her 'So Wrong It's Right' podcast, she said: "We're quite lucky at United we really focus on team togetherness and having that family feel around the place and I think we've really been blessed with that for the whole six years, I think everyone's gotten on with everyone.

"And that's difficult to have in a changing room full of women every single day who spend more time with each other than we do our families. You'd think that there would be like a lot more bickering and arguing, but I think luckily at Man United, we've got, we've got it really good."

This weekend will see Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspur in the women's FA Cup final and Ella admitted they are eyeing a victory and looking forward to celebrating together.

She said: "We went there [to Wembley] last season and we lost in the final, so yeah, we want to win it. It's been a tough run to get there but we’re really excited.

" How will we celebrate if we win the FA Cup? We're going out! I think we'll end up staying in London somewhere but it's nice to celebrate as a team.

"I think in football there's not that many highs, there's a lot of lows, but when you do get those highs, it's really important to celebrate them and to do it as a team as well. So, yeah, firstly, get the win and then we'll look to go out after that."
