Money Mayweather, 48, dominated The Beast, 42, over 12 rounds in September 2015 in what became the penultimate fight of his professional 50-0 career, but Berto now wants another crack his former rival.
Speaking on the OverDogs Podcast, he told host Mike Perry that he is willing to rematch Mayweather in either bare-knuckle boxing or the growing Dirty Boxing Championship.
He said: “I’ve got a little bit more to me. Floyd likes to run around, try to box, and look all …
“I wanna be able to grab his s*** and hit him with some other s***.
“So, either one, to be honest. With him, he’s just so comfortable in the boxing ring.
“Floyd, he talks a lot, but I know you for real. I’ve known Floyd since I was 16, and I know you’re really not like that. If we’re in a bar somewhere, I know you’re not like that for real.
“When it comes to that boxing ring, you’ve got all that safety around you, and all you have to do is look slick to get away with it.
“That’s a whole different situation, bro.”
Berto’s call-out comes at a time when Mayweather is in talks to fight another former rival, Manny Pacquiao, 46.
Pac Man shared the ring with Mayweather in May 2015 in a long-awaited showdown that ended in a unanimous decision win for the American, and the Filipino icon recently revealed that negotiations could bring the pair back together.
Speaking at a press conference, he said: “Right now we have a lot of negotiations about my next fight; there’s a possible rematch with Floyd Mayweather.
“There’s a lot of ongoing negotiations right now, so it’s hard to plan what fight I’m going to post. I’m waiting for the final negotiation.”
He added that he would “love” to face Mayweather again.
He said: “I’d love to have another fight, a rematch with Floyd Mayweather. So I hope that in the negotiations, we can understand each other and we can negotiate well.”
