Gregor Townsend out to finish on a high

Gregor Townsend wants his side to finish their autumn series on a high against Australia after making four changes to his Scotland XV.

Sean Maitland, Simon Berghan, Ryan Wilson and Grant Gilchrist all come into the starting line-up following Scotland's 22-17 defeat at the hands of world champions New Zealand last time out.

Having beaten Samoa and come so close against the All Blacks at Murrayfield, Townsend is determined to see his side finish their autumn off strongly against the Wallabies on Saturday, as they build towards the Six Nations next year.

He told the SRU website: "This is the third and final game of our autumn series and the players are looking forward to ending it on a high.

"Last weekend's game was a proper Test match - intense, competitive and full of drama. Unfortunately, we just fell short of our goal, and were disappointed with the loss, but take confidence going into the game against Australia."
