Gunners in talks with PSG as they prepare five-year deal for Meunier
Gunners boss Unai Emery is looking to bolster his squad after the Londoners again missed out on Champions League qualification last term. A fifth-place finish in the Premier League was followed by a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea in Wednesday's Europa League final in Baku. Arsenal shipped 51 goals in the league last season and Emery is desperate to shore up his leaky backline ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. And a move for Meunier would fit the bill given that Emery knows all about his ability given that he took him to the Parc des Princes in 2016 when he was in charge of PSG. The 27-year-old Belgium international right-back has slipped down the pecking order behind Dani Alves and Juan Bernat under current PSG boss Thomas Tuchel and is looking for a move to secure regular first-team football. Reports claim Arsenal have already started negotiations with their PSG counterparts over a fee for Meunier, who has just one year remaining on his contract, while the player will be offered a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium.
