Hodgson claims Arsenal are 'nowhere near' Zaha valuation

Arsenal are believed to be the frontrunners to sign Zaha and it is understood that they have already failed with one bid in the region of £40million so far in this transfer window. The 26-year-old has already said that he would like a move away from Palace for a fresh challenge after making over 300 appearances for the club in two spells. However, Palace boss Hodgson insists that until a club matches their valuation - thought to be around £80m - there is nothing to discuss with regards to Zaha. Speaking after a Palace side, made up largely of Under-23 players, lost 6-2 at Barnet in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night, Hodgson said: 'I don't think Arsenal have actually made a bid that has come anywhere near our valuation. 'I'm sure the player realises that if someone's going to take him away from us, he'll expect clubs to pay the market value. 'Until someone does that, there's not much to discuss regarding Wilf.'
