The chief executive has opened up on the impact of the computer chip shortage, which was accelerated mainly by issues brought on by the pandemic, with industries around the globe now struggling to meet increased demand.
Cook told analysts: "We expect to be supply-gated, not demand-gated. The shortages primarily affect iPad and Mac.
"We have a good handle on our demand - but what everybody else is doing, I don't know.
"We will do our best, that's what I can tell you."
He noted supply issues could impact products featuring Apple's own M1 chip, which includes the new iPad Pro and iMac 2021 devices.
And Cook admitted it's "very, very difficult" to predict when the shortages could end.
As reported by BBC, the cost of chip manufacturing facilities means they have to operate at almost full capacity, and this means it will take a while to be able to meet the increased demand.
