The American multinational technology company has been working on a new and improved "low-cost" laptop that will reportedly feature slimmer bezels and a high-resolution Retina display, but will otherwise look similar to the current model, and is preparing to release it over the next coming months, according to Bloomberg.
The MacBook Air is one of the only designs that hasn't had an upgrade since its launch as Apple seemingly decided to move its attention to the MacBook Pro and 12-inch MacBook - making people think that it no longer wanted the Air around.
However, with the others being a lot more expensive, Apple decided to keep the Air - which has a low-res screen - to appeal to those on a tighter budget.
It's all systems go for Apple at the moment as it's believed the company is also working on an update to the Mac Mini but, according to the publication, its new "storage and processor options are likely to make it more expensive."
Tim Cook said last year after a fan asked whether it had been forgotten: "We do plan for Mac Mini to be an important part of our product line going forward."
Apple is also set to unveil three new iPhone models and a redesigned iPad Pro with Face ID next month.
