Company unveils pizza-making robot

A company has unveiled a pizza-making robot.

Washington-based firm Picnic set up its exciting new technology at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, and explained how it is made up of different modules, which are connected together and can be programmed into a full assembly line.

Although the robot is small enough to fit into a truck, the technology can be scaled up to fit bigger kitchens.

Furthermore, it can also be fully automated, with the capacity to respond to customers' orders via an app for collection.

In the future, the company plans to use the system for other dishes involving assembly and customisation.

Speaking to CNET, Picnic's CEO Clayton Wood explained: "We're set up to handle whatever the chef wants to do."

The technology can cope with any ingredients or even dough types, ranging from frozen bases to hand-tossed.
