The South Korean firm has decided to stop making the panels by the end of the year,
The company currently has two LCD production lines in South Korea and two in China, Reuters reports.
Whilst they told The Verge that the decision was down to them focusing on making OLED panesl instead.
Samsung follows in the footsteps of LG, who previously confirmed they too will be ending LCD production in 2020.
Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled a line of 8K QLED TVs.
The tech giant showcased the new and improved screens at CES 2020 and claimed the flagship Q950TS model provides "unprecedented immersive capabilities".
The televisions boast an "infinity screen", with minimal bezels.
The 8K range is similar to those released by rival firms LG, Sony and Panasonic.
With a standout feature of "Object Tracking Sound+", which matches audio with the movement of objects.
