United Arab Emirates is popular post lockdown destination

The United Arab Emirates is one of the most popular destinations post lockdown.

The Middle Eastern country - whose capital is Abu Dhabi - is one of the key destinations for travellers following the coronavirus pandemic.

A study by Kuoni has revealed that the UAE - which is also home to the world famous city of Dubai - is the most sought-after destination for 2021, followed by Qatar and Canada in second place and Egypt in third place.

For French tourists, Belgium was the most popular destination whilst Spanish and Turkish residents are eyeing trips to Italy once the pandemic is over.

Passengers from Italy, the United Kingdom, Romania, Bulgaria and Poland all have put the Maldives at the top of their travel wish list when everything opens back up.

Meanwhile, those in North America - the United States and Canada - are keen to travel to Japan whilst Australians are excited about heading to Fiji.

Kuoni are offering a number of excursions to the United Arab Emirates including sand boarding and desert safaris.

Writing about what they offer on their website, they shared: "Discover glittering Dubai City, staying in one of our chic hotels and exploring the sights with the help of an expert guide ... Stay in the magical Arabian Desert, going dune bashing, on desert safaris, and even trying sand boarding."
