A study by Booking.com has found that 82 percent of people want to tick one or more destination off their bucket list in the coming months, with 45 percent of vacationers having set themselves a travel bucket list.
When it comes to the contents of the bucket list, travellers are keen to see one or more of the wonders of the world such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Great Pyramid of Giza or one of the more modern ones including the Great Wall of China or Machu Picchu in Peru.
Nearly half of all surveyed wanted to check one of these off their list whilst over a third of people were looking forward to sampling the different foods around the world.
Whether it's enjoying an island break (34 percent) or heading on a thrilling adventure (34 percent), travellers are up for exploring something new whilst abroad such as taking part in a cultural event (28 percent) or learning a brand new skill (27 percent).
