ICEHOTEL is worth a visit

Want a unique holiday experience? Head to the ICEHOTEL!

With 55 rooms and 10 restaurants, this boutique hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden is a one of a kind experience. For a real experience, book one of the cold accommodation rooms - you can even book one night in the cold accommodation and a couple in the warm side. The Art Suite - open between December and April - is particularly beautiful, with its stunning artwork carved into the ice. The room's temperature sits between minus five and minus eight degrees and snowsuits, boots, mittens and balaclavas are included in the price of the room. A thick mattress is placed on the ice bed, which is held up by a wooden structure, and thermal sleeping bags are also provided.

Guests are woken up in the morning with a mug of hot lingonberry juice before getting the chance to enjoy a warm sauna session and hot shower before heading to the main hotel for breakfast.

If you can't travel to Jukkasjärvi between December and April, opt for one of the deluxe suites, which form part of the ICEHOTEL 365 - ice rooms that are available all year round in a specially designed building run on solar power. The Deluxe Suite also comes with a private heated bathroom and relaxation area.

If you don't fancy staying in the ICEHOTEL, then you can visit it for the day. Guided tours are also available.
