With the uncertainty of Brexit, the online booking site have unveiled their new pet-friendly fakecations, where people can take their pets with them as they swap European holidays for UK ones.
Hotels.com have seen a 70 per cent increase in search for pet friendly hotels, whilst nearly a third (31 per cent) of British people admit to taking their pet on holiday with them on an average of two holidays every year.
A whopping 39 per cent of people plan their holidays around their pets, whilst 31 per cent take them with them. If they have to leave their pets at home, 16 per cent of owners buy a present for their pet whilst one in 10 people admit to FaceTiming their pet from their holiday or carrying their picture with them whilst they're abroad.
Adam Jay, President of Hotels.com brand, said: "We can see why owners are barking mad if pets lose their European passports. But fur-tunately, it's not the end for the pet vacation when you can staycation or even fakeation.
