Dana White slams Jake Paul for boxing UFC fighters

Dana White has slammed Jake Paul approaching UFC fighters for boxing matches.

The YouTuber continued his perfect record in the ring by beating Ben Askren last week and has now set his sights on facing Conor McGregor but UFC boss White has launched a furious warning to leave the sport alone and suggested that he could take legal action otherwise.

White told Yahoo Sports: "Why don’t you go fight a f****** boxer? What the f*** do these guys keep talking to UFC guys for? I’m gonna have to slap them with another f****** legal letter, these f****** idiots. Go talk to f******boxers. What are you doing?"

White is not a fan of YouTube stars competing in professional combat sports but has praised Paul for being able to exploit fans.

He said: "Boxing continues to go like this [points his hands downward]. This guy [Jake Paul] is playing this thing perfectly and boxing’s in such a bad place. They’re doing a really good job at sucking in people to buy into this thing. Good for him."

White also denied claims that he owes millions to Snoop Dogg after they bet $2 million on the outcome of the fight between Paul and Askren.

He said: "I don’t even want to say it. I don’t even want to say what I think happened in that fight. But I can tell you this, I don’t owe Snoop [Dogg] $2 million.

"I never bet - let me make it clear right here to everybody: I have never made an illegal bet, ever. I did not make an illegal bet on Saturday night. I did not bet $2 million with Snoop or anybody."
