Monaco and France star set for Man United move

Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe is set to hold talks with Manchester United in the coming days, according to reports in France.

Sidibe, 25, has established himself as a key man for Monaco since joining from Lille in the summer of 2016 and is also France's first-choice right-back.

United manager Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen in both full-back roles this summer and is keen to snare Sidibe before he links up with Les Bleus for the World Cup in Russia.

French publication Le 10 Sport claims talks between the two clubs will begin this week, with Monaco demanding a hefty fee for his signature.

The defender is under contract at the Stade Louis II until 2022 and Les Rouges et Blancs intend to hold out for a fee in excess of the £52million they received for Benjamin Mendy from Manchester City last summer.
