Bakayoko ready to battle for Chelsea role
The Blues midfielder spent last season on loan with Italian side AC Milan, who had the option to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the term, if all went well. However the Rossoneri will not be taking up the option despite the fact coach Gennaro Gattuso, who Bakayoko fell out with, has left the San Siro after being axed. It means the midfielder will return to Stamford Bridge, something the player is happy about, according to his agent, who has been speaking out in the French media. He told L'Equipe that his client is keen to fight for his place while Chelsea are in the Champions League next season. The fact that boss Maurizio Sarri could also be on the move, is a boost for Bakayoko, who will be hoping that a new coach will mean more playing time for him.
