Meizu's new smartphone with selfie screen

Meizu have unveiled a smartphone that makes taking selfies much easier.

The Chinese consumer electronics company launched their Meiszu Pro 7 series, which has a screen on the back that helps you get perfectly in shot when you take a selfie with the phone's back camera.

If the phone is flipped over, the back screen will light up automatically and can show various things including the weather, the time, notifications, the music currently playing whilst also acting as a mirror for those important selfie moments.

Writing on their website, they shared: "The all-new combination of the dual rear cameras and rear display has created brand-new selfie possibilities. Precise tuning of beautification algorithms makes your selfies even more interesting. You can see yourself on the rear display in real-time, making capturing that perfect smile a breeze."

The phone is available in two sizes - Pro 7, which has a 5.2 inch screen, and Pro 7 Plus that has a screen that is 0.5 inches larger. The smaller of the two comes in three different colours - black, gold and red - whilst the larger one is available in matte black, space black, amber gold and crystal silver.

The devices start at 2,880 yuan (approximately $430) for a 64GB Pro 7 but each model also comes in a 128GB size for an additional cost.

Not only does it have the back screen, the phone also has a host of useful features including a dual back camera, which has both a colour and a black and white 12-megapixel sensor whilst the front camera is 16 megapixels and comes with a low light mode to make your pictures even better.

At just 7.3 millimetres, or 0.29 inches, thick, the phone feels incredibly lightweight but doesn't scrimp on battery life as its mCharge technology helps with rapid charging, with the battery in the Pro7 Plus allowing for a 67 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.
