The issue meant that some handsets were not receiving power if they were plugged in while the display as still asleep.
However, the tech giant has revealed its new iOS 12.01.1 update which addresses the problem with a 104MB download fixing "an issue where some iPhone XS devices did not immediately charge when connected to a Lightning cable".
According to previous reports, the bug meant the handset needed to be unlocked - or have the screen lit up - to begin charging.
It didn't take long for many users to begin looking into workarounds to battle the issue, including upgrading to the iOS 12.1 beta before the official release.
Other suggestions included going into Settings, then FaceID and Passcode, before scrolling down and turning on USB Accessories under the 'Allow access when locked' option.
This latest issue with the new models comes after users complained about poor signal and WiFi reception in the US compared to older models, with posts on MacRumors, Reddit and Apple's own support forums.
