YouTube 'heading to Nintendo Switch'

YouTube could be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The video streaming site hasn't been part of the gaming company's console, but it's now rumoured that an app is on its way.

Forum users at ResetEra have revealed they've been seeing suggestions for YouTube when they search the Nintendo website for games to download.

Although there is no product page for the app as of yet, Tech Radar has reported that it lists an availability date of November 8.

Although there's nothing official from either company, this latest development is interesting after details on a previous Best Buy listing.

Both Netflix and YouTube functionality was included in the specifications, although the listing was later altered to remove any mention of the services.

The addition of either would be a boost for the console, which so far only has Hulu as an option, which is only available in the US.

Nintendo has included YouTube in the past on gaming systems like the Wii U and 3DS, so it would fit well with the Switch.
