The new foldable smartphone was debuted at Samsung's S10 launch recently, and now it has been revealed that the £1,799 device will be available to buy in less than two months time.
The official release date comes after it was revealed that the limited edition phone will have its own proper launch event in April.
Samsung told The Verge that it will be a "full press" affair with proper hands-on opportunities and an atmosphere befitting a high-end device.
However, the company also revealed that with the hefty price tag, the Galaxy Fold will be a lot rarer in comparison to the new S10, with Samsung bringing in "less supply" of the new model at launch.
In a statement, they said: "We'll have less supply than we would of the S10 at launch, and also how it goes to market is really important to us. This is a super premium device, and we want to make sure it has a concierge-like service and experience, so it's not going to be on display in all stores. You're not going to see it on the stands, we want to make sure it's a very personal experience. There will be quite intensive aftercare that goes with it as well."
The phone will be available to pre-order on April 26 , with the press event taking place just a few weeks ahead of its global launch.
