The new free version of the messaging app - which was initially rolled out in a limited number of countries last month - allows small businesses to connect with customers, and it has been finally given a wider release.
The platform lets owners set up a business profile with company details - such as email or store address - and use greetings and 'away messages' to interact with customers contacting them using the standard client.
The standard messaging app's web interface is also supported by the WhatsApp Business service.
The app is now available in the UK, the US, Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia and Mexico, and it will be launched across the rest of the world in the coming weeks.
WhatsApp Business is also different to the paid WhatsApp Business API service, which is designed to be used by larger companies.
That platform lets firms send out notifications - such as boarding passes and receipts - along with responding to customers queries.
