Uber brings electric bike service Jump to London

Uber has launched new electric bike rental app Jump in London.

As of Friday (24.05.19), the taxi service has launched a pilot in the British capital with 350 bikes available to hire.

The popular service is already in the US, Canada and European cities such as Berlin and Paris.

Riders will be able to unlock a bike for just £1 and pay 13 pence per minute after the first five minutes which are free of charge.

Meanwhile, Uber recently added a 'Quiet Mode' to the app to silence chatty drivers.

Users of the taxi service in the US are now able to decided if they want their driver to speak to them or not.

On the app, they can select the options "Quiet preferred", "happy to chat" or just leave it as "No preference", so they are pre-warned if their passenger wants to have a conversation on their journey.

The new feature is for Uber Black and Uber Black SUV rides and there are a number of other new additions to.

These include letting the driver know if you require help with luggage and having the temperature inside the vehicle set before entering the cab.
