The company has invited Galaxy smartphone owners in South Korea to sign up to test out the new Bixby-powered smart speaker, which makes the first time the tech giant as confirmed its existence.
As reported by SamMobile, the new speaker can control IoT devices, while it is integrated with the SmartThings platform and uses sound technology from the AKG audio brand.
Although the device has just been announcement, it was rumoured after it appeared in a Federal Communications Commission earlier in 2019.
However, very little is known about the Home Mini, outside of the few details provided this week.
More information is expected once Samsung makes an official announcement, but it's not known if that will happen before or after the beta test.
