The move marks Neilson’s first long-haul Beach Club opening and strengthens its European offering alongside existing resorts in Greece, Sardinia and Croatia.
David Taylor, CEO at Neilson, said: “We’ve seen exceptional demand for our award-winning Beach Club holidays and have been searching far and wide to find the right resorts to grow our collection. We’ve been looking to add a long-haul destination for some time now and to add new destinations in Europe to complement our existing clubs in Greece, Sardinia and Croatia so that our customers have more choice. Sicily and Mauritius will be great new destinations for our customers where we combine a beautiful setting and outstanding five-star hospitality with our award-winning activity programme. We can’t wait to welcome our guests there.”
The expansion comes as demand grows for holidays that balance relaxation with fitness and activities. A recent survey commissioned by Neilson found that 24 per cent of respondents said their ideal break combines downtime with opportunities to stay active.
The Sicily resort, opening in May 2026, will be based at the Neilson x Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort on the island’s southwest coast. Set within Sciaccamare Park, the five-star property features sea-facing rooms overlooking the Mediterranean.
Guests will have access to activities including paddleboarding, road cycling, efoiling and sea scooter snorkelling, alongside yoga sessions and a thermal spa. The resort will also be the only Neilson property to offer tennis, padel and pickleball, supported by a dedicated racquet sports centre. Dining is spread across four restaurants, with evenings focused on sunset drinks and relaxed Mediterranean cuisine.
The second opening, Neilson x The Ravenala Attitude in Mauritius, is scheduled for June 2026. The all-suite resort sits between a river and the Indian Ocean, offering year-round sunshine and lagoon-based activities such as paddleboard yoga, snorkelling and e-bike exploration. Facilities include eight restaurants, six bars and a spa inspired by island traditions. The resort is also designed with families in mind, offering childcare programmes for children from four months to 13 years.
To mark the launch, Neilson is offering a prize draw for early bookers. Customers who book a 2026 holiday to either Sicily or Mauritius by 24 February 2026 will be entered into a draw to win back the full cost of their package holiday, subject to terms and conditions.
