The MMGY Global's 'Portrait of American Travelers 2018-19' study discovered that 70 per cent of travellers go on social media every day, but that figure jumps up to 83 per cent of millennials going on sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at least once a day and spending a whopping 113 minutes on average on these sites.
It was also revealed the of all the travellers who use social media, 46 per cent are active on photo sharing app Instagram, a 350 per cent increase on five years ago, with that figure rising to 60 per cent for millennials.
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that millennials can't stop bragging about their holidays, with 30 per cent of people spend over four hours a day on their smartphones whilst they are travelling.
