The Olympic legend used to try and cram in as much as possible when he had breaks from training so appreciates being able to lead a more relaxed life now.
He told Grazia magazine: “Back when I was competing in track and field, if I got a break I was like, ‘Oh I have to fit in everything right now.’
“Nowadays, I can pick when I work, when and where I travel, so I don’t press myself as much; time off is more enjoyable, more relaxed.”
Usain admitted he needs to find more time for exercise.
He said: “I keep saying I need to start getting back into the gym.
“Padel is everywhere – I’ve not tried it yet but I’m open to getting a little lesson.”
One thing the former sprinter – who retired in 2017 – doesn’t spend much time doing is cooking.
He admitted: “The last meal I made [was] instant ramen.
“My mom was not a fan of cooking, so she didn’t teach me how to cook.
“She taught me everything else – how to do laundry, how to iron, how to clean – but she never taught me how to cook.”
