Millie Bright eyes Champions League success

Millie Bright thinks Chelsea “need” to win the Champions League.

The 32-year-old defender is proud of the club’s achievements in recent years, but she thinks they need to add even more silverware in the coming season.

She told Match magazine: “The next step for us is winning the Champions League.

“It’s the one big thing that we’re lacking, the one trophy we don’t have at the club.

“I think we have been [top dogs] for so long but we really need that Champions League and also to do it all over again.

“So we want to get the treble, but let’s go for the quadruple.”

While Millie noted it was “very special” for Chelsea to win the treble, she’s more proud they did so unbeaten.

She said: “Winning the treble last season was very special, but my favourite thing was going unbeaten.

“That’s something that I’ve always wanted to achieve. We did it once before, but to do it again was really special.”
