The 29-year-old British fighter has been linked with bouts against the various welterweight title holders following his win against bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr. in their middleweight rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 15.
Last weekend, Benn was ringside in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to see Devin Haney defeat Brian Norman Jr. for his WBO 147-pound title on the Ring IV show, while he has been touted to fight the winner of the clash between WBC titleholder Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia.
Benn has now spilled that he has spoken directly to three-weight world champion Stevenson who has promised to fight him after his proposed early 2026 match-up with WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez.
Conor said: "I messaged Shakur. I said, 'Listen, if you're really about it, let's do it next.' I don't just do the social media thing for bants.
"I said we can do that next in April and he said, 'Cool. Let me get Teo out the way, we'll do it in April,' so you may see be seeing me and Shakur next.”
Former Olympics silver medallist Stevenson, 28, began his career at featherweight and would be stepping up in weight category to fight Lopez, 28, and he'd have to go up 147lbs to take on Benn.
Benn has also been involved in a public slanging match with WBO welterweight champ Devin Haney after he faked falling asleep ringside at his win against Norman.
Haney's trainer-and-father Bill Haney has got involved now sending a message to Conor's Hall of Famer father Nigel Benn - a former two-time world champion - accusing his son off living of his dad's name in boxing.
Posting on X, Bill said: "Oi Nigel Benn, full respect to you, proper legend. But your lad’s out here embarrassing your surname, mate.
“Beating Eubank Jr one time don’t make Conor a world-level fighter, does it?
“He’s still a mouthy geezer with ZERO world titles, no proper straps and not a single win that puts him anywhere near Devin’s postcode.
“Every time he talks like he’s elite, he’s just proving he’s living off your work, not his.
“All mouth, no championships.”
